Chevrolet Malibu 2013

Chevrolet Malibu 2013

Named after the city of Malibu, California, the Chevrolet Malibu is a medium sized car that is made in the United States of America by the General Motors Company. It is sold in the United States of America, Mexico, Canada, and Israel.

The current model of the Chevrolet Malibu is limited in size compared to its Japanese competitors. This is mainly due to the fact that it has to be kept smaller than the larger Impala model. Both of the models will expand in the future. This will make the Malibu in to the stand-alone Chevrolet competition for such models as the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord.
The very first Chevrolet Malibu to be manufactured was the mid range Chevrolet Chevelle. It was produced between the years of 1964 and 1972. The SS version was the top of the line.
In the year 1973, the Chevrolet Malibu received a face-lift. New models included the top line Laguna, the base Chevelle Deluxe, and the mid range Chevrolet Malibu.

The following year, the Deluxe version was dropped, and the Malibu effectively became the entry level Chevelle.
From the year 1978 onwards, the Malibu name would come to replace the Chevelle name altogether.
